As Bertuzzi was trying to make it short and sweet Big Bowman stands in his way to have a few extra words with him. It was obvious that Bowman was congratulating him on his play and what a task it was to immobilize the big man, but I can just imagine what Bowman was saying to Bert:

'Come over to the Dark Side Luke. I will teach you all the dirty cheating jedi mind tricks...'

Go AVS GO

Yeah, right, and he can bring the same light sabre he's been using instead of a hockey stick all year long too. Now really, when you think about it logically, why would Scooty want such a wimp who couldn't take out a 40 year-old half his size, eh?

cheating eh? is it their fault that the avs are off to game seven? you really should be working over your kings voodoo doll, not your wings doll. (that's it, over there on the shelf between barbie and blow up betty)

Because the 40 year old can tackle him with impunity and if he so much as breathes on the 40 year old he gets a penalty?

Fortunately, you're not employed in the Wings' front office. I'd take Bert in a heartbeat. All offseason, I was clamoring for the Wings to trade Osgood + whatever for the big guy. He showed what he can do. He's a star and could become the dominant player in the NHL

Huh? He was third in scoring all year long, a lot higher than any Red Wing?!?

You call that Logic? Why would Scotty want a Bertuzzi with as much upside as he has? I think Bert clearly won all the physical battles with Chelios. If you didn't see that you are blind.

What Chelios had on Bertuzzi was the veteran mind games. He was like your neighbours pet terrier nipping at the heels of your shoes as you deliver their paper, effectively taking Bertuzzi's mind of his task at hand. Chelios was damn good at it too.

Canucks lost this series due to wiley veteran play by the Red Wings plain and simple. After the Wings figured out the Canucks it was visible that they adjusted their game, as all well school experienced teams with talent can do, and beat the nucks with sound positional play.

I'll give you a few reasons why Scotty would love to get a hold on Bert:

1) 3rd in Scoring this season 2) Has a Chelios like mean streak that needs to be channeled properly, and who best to do it than Scotty ( or Scooty as you like to call him). 3) Is the next Cam Neely with 30lbs + and better hands. 4) Is young, 25 years old. As the future of the red wing core etches towards retirment this young Canuck team led by Bertuzzi can only get better, and if 'Scooty' has any intention of staying behind the bench any longer than the rest of this seasons playoffs he has to start looking for new blood somewhere.

Believe me when I tell you that Bowman would love to have Bertuzzi.

But I don't expect you to. Now go back to easting your cheeto's junior, you clearly have no clue.

That normally happens when the only thing that can hold a team together is one main scorer as opposed to many hall of famers.
