The Wings are firing on all cylinders. They've got their 'wheels' back . They've followed in their great captain's lead and needless to say, when they play the way they played last night, they're one tough cookie.

This series isn't over, still a potential of 6 more periods of hockey to be played... The most important thing is not letting up. Keep the strangle-hold on the 'Nucks. Don't give them an inch, a centimeter, an ounce of anything that could give them a fit of confidence. Like Mitch Albom said: 'Great teams take the fires of a victory like this(in game 5) and use them to burn the other guy's building.'

The Canucks are a good team, and they've played us hard. We haven't had such an open game with them until last night.

Dom was a brick wall last night. Definitely one of his best games as a Wings yet (hopefully more to come!) He shut the door when the Canucks pressed and got glorious scoring chances, and in turn made equally glorious saves.

Fedorov= The True Russian Rocket

Fischer will be a future superstar in the league. If he keeps playing the way he played last night, he'll get everyone's attention. Love the playoff fuzz on his face! hehe. Kid's gotta little bit of a mean streak in him. Big and strong, he could be a force, much like Aaron 'whatever he hits, he destroys!' Ward (LOL), but hopefully even better.

GO WINGS! *erin*

Should we advance, I'm rather looking forward to the comparison of Mr. Fischer and Mr. Pronger. I realize Pronger has the offensive edge <no pun intended> BUT on the defensive side... Hummm... now that Jiri's seemed to find himself, with perhaps a little nudge from Chelios, this could be a beaut of a matchup.

As long as he stays on the path that he has, Fischer will be one hell of a D'man. And I think playing so much with Chelios has been a huge benefit for him.
