The post was a nice confessional, and interesting, but I must correct one thing: You alluded to the fact that getting Roy was the most important moment in Avs history. That is wrong. Eric Lindros is most responsible for the Avs success, because most of their great 'homegrown' talent was brought about because of him. Colorado would have inherited the same sad Nords if it hadn't have been for that

And the Wings wouldn't have won a cup if they hadn't drafted Steve Yzerman, the point to both stories is that I hate sports fans.

The Nords were the East's number ONE seed the year before the move. The Colorado farm system didn't appear from the trade away of Lindros, but the Avs did net the best two way player in the game, Forsberg. SM2600
