Why were valuable assets out on the ice late in a 4-0 game? Steve, Shannie, Chellie, etc were out there where injuries occur while more replaceable guys sat on the pine. I'd much rather see the Grind Line, Pavel, Mathieu, Boyd, Jiri, and any of the kids out there.

I'd protect the vets but I'm not Scotty.

An interesting note on sportsmanship. Even though the game was out of reach fairly early, Vancouver played an honest, non-cheap game. Especially after watching Zednik heading to the moon at the end of the Bruins game, the 'nucks play stood out as a very sportsmanlike effort. There was no 'setting the stage' or 'sending of a message' (the kind of stupid shit you so often see when a team is totally out of a game). Hard to say they were impressive in any way in last night's losing effort but that aspect of things was noticeable and comment worthy.

Cloutier now has to climb mount everest. He's had 3 iffy outings, and vancouver has to put him back in to start game 6. If we cna come out and step on him early again.... well, I'm hoping for a nice easy game. Plus, he's gotta match saves against the Dominator, who has come raging back with soue very impressive outings after starting kinda soft.

I was at work so I could not see the game. Glad Detroit did not run up the score and give the Canucks extra motivation for Saturday.
